Why Ariel Photography?

It seems like aerial photography is everywhere all of a sudden. The development of the personal drone has put aerial photography in the hands of everyone. Before this photographers had to rent time on an airplane or helicopter, buy a large balloon or oversized telescopic pole that would lift a camera high into the air. These options were very expensive and impractical.

When your project needs aerial photography make sure the photographer you choose has the proper training and knowledge. A professional photographer will have a Remote Pilot Certification from the FAA and it will be renewed every two years.

Having a drone I have been able to accomplish many more requests from clients. With real estate I can show the property footprint, proximity to lake, golf course, ocean , intracoastal. My client’s projects stand out . Roof inspection and events also benefit from overhead photography.

Drone photography offers a unique perspective. It orients you in the scene and helps to visualize the whole picture. Its bring sight to a place you can’t easily get eyes on.

My choice of drone is the DJI Classic 3 and a Phantom 4.

If you are ready to try drone photography or if you have been using drone images for awhile, or if you just have questions contact me. I can help!

Pros and Cons of hiring a Professional Photographer for your Real Estate Listing, Architectural Project, Yacht

Hiring a Professional Photographer to photograph your home, commercial property, yacht, real estate… what ever you are selling, can leave you wondering if its worth the time and price. In this article I’ll try to help answer the question.

Pros

  1. Having professional images will help sell your Real Estate faster and the potential for higher offers increases according to an article by Redfin. Higher quality photos can help increase sale price.
  2. A professional photographer has the gear and the eye to get the angles that show your property at its best in a high quality image. A good photographer will have a list of tips to prepare the property, will know the best time of day to photograph and can suggest what to focus on and what to minimize.
  3. Depending on the photographer, some will also help with staging. Keeping focus on what matters in a space and what will help a potential buyer see the space as their future home.
  4. Aerial / Drone images. The professional photographer/ drone pilot must be a certified remote pilot with the FAA operating under Part 107 . This means they have gone through the training and know the flight and safety regulations regarding controlled airspace

Cons

  1. A professional photographer will charge a fee for services. You have a camera in your phone or your own DSLR and want to try to do it yourself and save the money. This is boarder line con since you will increase your offers with professional images.
  2. The photoshoot will take at least an hour and the photographer will be in every room in your property, it will all need to be ready to go at once.
  3. OK, I tried to be objective but as you know, I am a real estate photographer and honestly am pro professional images. They can really make a difference. What I can tell you is that when the market is hot.. as happens when inventory is low.. photographers barely make it out in time to photograph before the property sells.
